Allegation of research misconduct

Scientific Journal of Information System (SJIS) is committed to investigating credible allegations of research and publication misconduct in a fair, confidential, and transparent manner.

Misconduct may include fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, unethical research practices, inappropriate manipulation of research results, undisclosed duplicate publication, and misrepresentation of authorship or data.

Reporting

Concerns may be submitted to the Editor-in-Chief through the journal's official contact channel. Reports should identify the relevant manuscript or article and include supporting evidence when available.

Preliminary Assessment

The editorial team evaluates whether the allegation is sufficiently specific and supported to warrant further inquiry.

Investigation

Depending on the allegation, the journal may request clarification and supporting records from authors, consult qualified independent experts, or communicate with relevant research institutions.

All parties involved will be treated fairly. Authors will ordinarily have an opportunity to provide an explanation.

Editorial Decision

Based on the findings, the journal may reject a manuscript, request corrections, issue an expression of concern, publish a correction, or retract an article.

Appeals

Evidence-based appeals may be submitted to the Editor-in-Chief. Appeals will be assessed by an appropriate editor or independent party where a conflict of interest exists.

SJIS follows relevant guidance from the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) when addressing publication integrity concerns.
